Take one step today

Overwhelmed? Keep breathing, here is why and how.

3 minutes
When your mind is full and overloaded, the only thing you crave is calm and quietness.

So how can you achieve this? How can you unpack your mind and stop thinking?

Telling yourself to stop thinking is as effective as telling a child to calm down.

An immediate solution is not available. Unless you take drugs and knock yourself out, calming your mind takes time.

I don't have time, I can hear you think...

Then think about this. The moment you decide to go down the path towards less thinking, every step will count.
Every step is a tiny investment in yourself that you will never lose again.

And when I say this will take time, believe me, it will take a lot of time.

I invite you to take that time and to start with small steps today.

In fact, start now.

🧘‍♀️ Sit straight up or stand still. Close your eyes if you can and take a deep breath when you are ready.
Feel the air flowing in, past your nostrils.

🧘‍♀️ Breathe out quietly and feel the air flowing out.

🧘‍♀️ Do this again. Don't force your breathing.

🧘‍♀️ And do it again.

Remain still and enjoy these few seconds where you mind is observing your breath. It was not thinking for this tiny period of time, allowing you to enjoy the present moment.

That is all you need for now.

Come back tomorrow if you want. Or whenever you want.

Time is not important. The intention to unpack your mind is.

Learning to Sit With Stillness

Learning to sit with stillness is not about escaping life. It is about meeting it more honestly.
